The new compounds were evaluated for their inhibition against falcipain-2, as well as against cultured P. falciparum. The inhibitory activity of the synthesized compounds was also evaluated against another protozoal cysteine protease, namely rhodesain of Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense.
