Nowadays, any discussion on training/education necessarily implies a careful analysis of the informal dimensions of education. The borders between education and the formal space of practical teaching-instruction are quite fine; and this consideration acquires more weight if we consider the fundamental role of the media in modern society, and the cultural impact that information and communication technology has had on today’s youth. In this sense, the Internet becomes an alternative place where we can look for the answers to questions which are not exclusively to do with playing games, entertainment, meeting people or exchanging opinions; rather, the net gives us the opportunity to access new education pathways, which are independent from formal and institutional educational tools. The world wide web also offers innovative cultural models, on which young people can not only fi nd support for their ideologies, but also those practices which help them to become more professional, such as creating relationships, expressing themselves, getting on the scene, assuming multiple identities. The point we are trying to make here is about the relationship between technologies and new writing forms, between digital scenarios and non-conventional narrative horizons, such as MCing and digital storytelling.
