From May 2011, a Permanent International Session of Research Seminars (PISRS) is holding at the University of Messina, providing weekly one-hour scientific presentations. The topics. Eleven different branches of the International Session PISRS are already active: 1) Applied Functional Analysis (AFA seminars) 2) Applied Statistics (AS seminars) 3) Biophysics and Biomathematics (BPBM seminars) 4) Decision Theory and applications (DTA seminars) 5) Differential, Fractal and Non-commutative Geometry with applications (DFNGA seminars) 6) Game Theory and applications (GTA seminars) 7) Law, Probability and Risk, with Informatics Applications (LPRIA seminars) 8) Mathematical Models of Economics and Financial Markets (MMEFM seminars) 9) Mathematical Methods of Econophysics and Quantum Mechanics (MMEQM seminars) 10) Mathematical Physics and Dynamical Systems (MPDS seminars) 11) Mathematical and Theoretical Engineering (MTE seminars) Call for papers. Papers for the International Session are solicited on all above themes, with emphasis on: 1) new results and emerging applicable methodologies; 2) new theories and their applications; 3) computer processing of all above models and theories. Scopes of the program. The International Session will provide scholars better opportunities to share knowledge, experiences and new ideas. Submission of abstracts. 
Please submit your abstract electronically (refer to David Carfì’s institutional email address dcarfi@unime.it). Authors of accepted presentations will be notified via e-mail. Accepted abstracts (or extended abstracts) of presentations will be archived on the Economics Faculty Web site. Manuscripts (up to 5MB) must be also submitted electronically.

Specialists of all the above fields, professors, researchers, Ph.D and students are strongly encouraged to propose and present didactical seminars about new recent developments of the subjects. Talk languages. English, French, Italian. Publications. Every year (at the end of December) PISRS will publish a book belonging to a collection titled Proceedings of the Permanent International Session of Research Seminars.
