The aim of this study is to verify if the level of income-welfare achieved, net of female income, affects the woman's choice to work or to seek a job. The basic idea is that woman does not take into account the absolute level of family income when she makes her decision to participate or not in the labor market, but the actual level of welfare that this brings to all its components . After introducing some descriptive statistics regarding, which are employed or are unemployed but looking for work, attention has been focused on the definition of an equivalent household income using the modified OECD scale (Hagenaars, 1994). Finally, attention has been focused on defining a logistic regression model which has highlighted the statistical significance of demographic, social and working-study variables used to calibrate the model. In view of results it's possible to affirm that many factors influence the probability that a married woman is active; in particular, from equivalent net income it's possible to assume that a relation between family income and the probability that a married woman is active exists.
