Nowadays, Cloud computing is rapidly evolving due to social and cultural influences that are changing our everyday life. Innovative research in security-enabling techniques and architectures bodes to satisfy the increased interoperability among different vendors. An increasing number of service providers use Cloud computing to adapt their products to customer needs by addressing storage requirements in a secure way. The goal of our proposal is to provide a secure storage service able to store data in Multi-Cloud environment. The proposed secure storage architecture is oriented to guarantee confidentiality and integrity issues concerning information and data which are disseminated and stored in worldwide distributed Cloud environments. In this work, the SSME architecture is presented and discussed. Moreover, in order to evaluate our proposal, we conducted several experiments by considering the implementation of the SSME application as a Service in a real scenario. © Springer International Publishing AG 2017.
