In the way a de-restoration would be a nonsense like the actions already done on Roman baths, we are implementing a virtual restoration of the previous restoration, which might seem methodologically unusual in the tradition of "pure archaeology", in terms of solutions, techniques and materials, but also less invasive and definitive than the 1960's one. The 3d reconstruction would allow a clearer distinction between original construction and rebuilding performed during restorations, as well as the possibility to integrate - through the GIS program - the various types of documentation produced, starting from the first studies to arrive to what we have recently developed.
