The present chapter concerns a shift of paradigm concerning working conditions in the contemporary era. Indeed, today, we are undoubtedly called to rephrase the vocabulary and conceptual frame concerning the working conditions of human beings. And in particular if we are, as in the case of the present volume, to interpret the forms of subjectivity emerging with (and from) the so-called “gig economy” – i.e. the labour market characterized by the prevalence of short-term contracts or freelance work as opposed to permanent jobs – with the categories of labour typical of precedent economic models, the result will be a failure. And yet, that is what happens most of the time. With shifting paradigms, the political and juridical vocabulary through which humankind and human relations are de"ned and through which lives are regulated (and protected) should shift, too.

Abstract
With shifting paradigms, the political and juridical vocabulary through which humankind and human relations are de"ned and through which lives are regulated (and protected) should shift, too.Pubblicazioni consigliate
