ABSTRACT : There is a whole family of poets in French poetry linked to the old traditions of the French provinces and above all belonging to the so-called fantasy. The two poets we will talk about have experienced fame in their time. One, Tristan Klingsor, began his career at the end of the 19th century, (but he finished it in the 1960s) the other, Maurice Fombeure, had his Muse sung in the 20th century. In an atmosphere of old France with its legends and myths, its popular songs, and under the outs of simplicity, hides a long work and a fantasy of the devil that, in a few verses, captivates and moves us. In an age when the present is omnipresent and leaves little room for memories, in the poems of our two fantasists, the past is king. One is enchanting, the other magician, under the light strokes of their magic wand a whole wonderful world appears the world of poetry and lightness. Beside this unbridled joy the feeling and anxiety of the passing of time to plunge us back into reality, but all this with a touch of infinite tenderness and exquisite musicality.
