The paper looks into events that, from 1810 to 1812, are related to comparison among Monarchy, Parliament and Sicilian Deputazione del Regno. Starting from the end of eighteenth-century, when the precarious balance between representative institutions and monarchy begins to deteriorate, the research focuses on the context where the clash between barony and monarchy, triggered by king Ferdinando’s extraordinary donative request, comes to maturity and intensifies. From that clash, in which Deputazione del Regno, defender and guardian of prerogatives and privileges of “nazione siciliana”, had an important role, in a very short time the process, that puts an end to Sicilian constitutional structure and favours the birth of 1812 constitution, starts.
