Abstract
The catalytic performance of Cu-on-alumina in NO redn. with NH3/O2 (DeNOx) during the simultaneous oxidn.- adsorption of SO2 in the form of an easily regenerable sulfate and the influence of NH3 adsorption on the DeNOx catalytic behavior are discussed. The dependence of DeNOx activity on the nature of surface species and some aspects of the DeNOx mechanism on these catalysts are also reported, to discuss which aspects of the surface chem. of Cu-on-alumina may be changed to improve process performance in the simultaneous removal of NO/SO2 from flue gas.
