The correlation between the nature of V ions and reactivity in C4 hydrocarbon selective oxidn. is examd. on V-P oxides prepd. by different methods and P:V ratios. The catalytic properties depend on the method of prepn.; however the best yields in maleic anhydride are always obtained in a pulse microreactor when a limited no. of V(V) ions are present on the surface of a V(IV)-phosphate. The hydrocarbon interaction with the catalyst forms V(III) ions and modifies the degree of oxidn. of the surface V, depending on temp., relative hydrocarbon/O ratio, and type of hydrocarbon. Depending on the degree of surface oxidn., different main products can be obtained in 1-butene oxidn. (butadiene, maleic anhydride, carbon oxides). [on SciFinder(R)]

Abstract
[on SciFinder(R)]Pubblicazioni consigliate
