In this paper, we report about the interesting sensing properties of dirhodium formamidinate complex, Rh 2(form) 4. Due to its peculiar capability to coordinate reversibly small gaseous molecules, leading to modifications of some physico-chemical properties (electrical, optical, etc.), Rh 2(form) 4 has been investigated as sensing layer in different sensor platforms for the selective ammonia gas monitoring. A prototype of a solid-state multi-parameter sensor system based on the different sensor platforms has been developed.
