Abstract

In the last years, the global economy has registered radical structural changes, that has led many economists to shift their attention to a new competitive scenery in which the classic vision that is oriented to a profit maximization in a short period has been overtaken by a new framework where some elements, able to ensure a long period growth, become essential in every decision-making. The global economic crisis has involved the whole economic system including firms, society and finance. While the global economy changes the established economic rules, there is a lack of analytical forecasts, driving toward decisive solutions. In this context, it is certain that the national economy will has to become international. Nevertheless, a globalized economy requires new analytical instruments. On the other side, the global environmental crisis is a worrying threat to the ecosystem. It is known that emerging issues about eco-sustainability have to be addressed at global level. But the political attempts have difficulty finding adequate instruments and shared views, it’s an example Kyoto Protocol, the issues concerning pollution’s reduction and make use of alternative energies. In the same way are the crisis that has involved finance, society, firms and the whole human life: how the way of life, to project in the future, to manage markets and products, to make firm. America has triggered the crisis, globalization has enhanced it, with a domino effect that is still active. We known that the entrepreneurial system is dramatically projected in a worldwide competition,¬ in search of sustainable structure able to support new competitions. The system of which the firm is part, have to take many types of crises into account, especially that concerning the sustainability. The aim of this paper is analysis about complex dynamics and causes firm’s crisis. The focus regards the systemic view of the firm, a way which will become a strong reality in an uncertain and changing environment which tends, constantly, to disrupt its balance. From this point of view, the productive capacity of small and medium firms, new entrepreneurial ideas, new project and new goals, represent the instrument that can help the end of this crisis era.
