Sustainability and responsibility determine, all the time, tourists choices concerning the way of traveling and mobility in territory, tourisi destinations, facilities or restaurant to attend. Tourism is a travel (tour) and it is also a life experience in a different territory, and it must be pleasaia and healthy for the body and spirit. Tour operators, travel agents and incoming, transport companies and all the enterprises in tourism sector are called to provide products and services consistent with the tourist expectations for a sustainable holiday. In recent years, the kind of tourism and the activities required by tourists had a growing trend and they are almost environmentally friendly. The competitive advantage of the Italian tourism destination, gained thanks to the great cultural, landscape and architecture heritage, should be enriched by an increasing attention to the environmental, worth, the loss of competitiveness for the benefit of an "emerging" tourism, less rich, but focusing on environment. The judgment of quality by the tourist is not limited to accommodation and catering, but it includes environmental standards and territory, as a complex system including organization, public and private services, logistics, infrastructure, which form the framework in which tourist lives his experience and influence the judgment of the tourist about holiday customer satisfaction and therefore, on his return or not in the place visited and on word of mouth to friends and family. Tourist could be critic for an experience in a poor quality hotel, even if it has a good environment and good services, but probably he could be more critic for a tourist experience of living in an accommodation of excellent quality situated in an environment and degraded land, that is why environmental sustainability is a seal of quality for tourism products.
