In the wake of Fernand Braudel, but following a new 'route' in the Mediterranean: this what is promised and kept by the book of the author Elina Gugliuzzo on the Mediterranean arsenals. Thanks to the researches on the arsenals of Constantinople/Istanbul (Ottoman Empire/Turkey), Birgu (Malta), Messina (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain) now we gain a much better knowledge on a wider overview. States were not the only protagonists of that era: the author directs her glance to men, sailors, shipbuilders, slaves, who shaped the history of the Mediterranean in the next age at the conquest of the Atlantic and at the fall of the Moorish reign of Granada. It is important to highlight that Elina Gugliuzzo is an Italian scholar coming from a new generation, that one which in the recent years has crossed the national boundaries in order to face a wider world and different cultures.

Abstract
It is important to highlight that Elina Gugliuzzo is an Italian scholar coming from a new generation, that one which in the recent years has crossed the national boundaries in order to face a wider world and different cultures.Pubblicazioni consigliate
