In this paper we present the development of a compact and stand-alone system for environmental monitoring based on gas, humidity, temperature sensors and UDOO Quad board. The sensors are connected with the UDOO board by means of a very simple designed and home-made developed shield. Here, the system developed has been preliminary evaluated by detecting hydrogen, methane, oxygen and humidity, for air quality monitoring in industrial environments. © Springer International Publishing AG 2017.
