The goal of this contribution is to trace an unprecedented profile of Norbert Wiener, aimed at showing, how, beyond the reductionist outcomes of the science of which he was the father, this thinker fits fully into the bed of those thinkers who they have tried, also through their life choices, to promote an anti-reductionist gnoseological perspective.
