Energy efficiency, retrofit, photovoltaic integration, vertical green, thermal insulation, ... are the targets set for the refurbishment of the Palazzo Satellite (Messina). Some solutions are offered during the course of Tradition and Innovation at the Shipyard of Recovery, in collaboration with the Municipality of Messina. The attention to the energy topics could in return emphasize the criteria of exposure/orientation of the building fronts, the responsible use of materials, and could encourage greater awareness of the possibility of external shielding systems, of green roofs and facades.
