The essay explores the meaning of economic market power in the legal context of a democratic political system. The analysis is developed studying the intuitions of Karl Polanyi who demonstrated the ability of capitalism to trasform into a commodity any aspect with a "value" of social life. The "Great Trasformation" of our age is that one of telematic and digital revolution, in which even very personal aspects of our lives are trasformed by digital platforms into commodities. The methodology of the essay is that one of "Law and Economics" analysis.
