This contribution provides a critical account of the neoliberal education policy agenda, and an analysis of three Italian student organizations and their mobilisations within the framework of the global student protests against austerity measures in the aftermath of the post-2008 global crisis. In particular, it focuses on these three Italian student unions' campaigns and their innovative actions aimed at countering the neoliberal worldview applied to schools and universities.
