this work is intended to contribute to the exercise of the right to education, as social right, for refugees and asylum seekers. The contribution is, in fact, based on the assumption that the enhancement of the knowledge and skills of migrants represents one of the main levers of inclusion and development. Looking at the Italian university system we will give an account of its most recent evolution in the indicated direction with a specific focus on the University of Messina experience.
