Abstract
The extensive diffusion of new technologies (the Internet of Things, cloud computing, blockchain, big data, artificial intelligence, algorithms and virtual reality) and their impact on businesses are massively attracting the interest of management scholars. Scientific production within this stream is quite broad and heterogeneous, and a wide-ranging discussion on how digitalization processes interact with firms’ innovation strategies is needed. The purpose of this chapter is to develop emerging insights on new dimensions and strategies relevant for firms to handle more effectively the digital transformation in the light of recent advances in technology, with a particular emphasis on the role of ecosystems, digital platforms, and absorptive capacity.Pubblicazioni consigliate
