The research is carried out in a multidisciplinary, or rather inter–disciplinary way, i.e. through the appropriate comparison, integration and complementarity of various scientific fields closely related to each other and with interactive methods, in order to highlight and synthesize the processes of convergence and the cause and effect relationships of the methods and results of the research itself. For each site, the analysis subjects are developed step–by–step following a path that includes: the general geological classification, essentially on a bibliographical basis; the descriptive analysis of the types of key rocks found in the territory; the illustration of the overall scenic–cultural landscape; the reconstruction of the historical–architectural evolution of the site; the description of the lapideous materials used and their state of preservation; The Architectures analysed are said to be valorised and protected, as the first is an “Archaeological Site”, located in the Eastern Nebrodi Mountains, while the second is among “The most beautiful Villages of Italy”, in the western Peloritani Mountains

Abstract
The research is carried out in a multidisciplinary, or rather inter–disciplinary way, i.e. through the appropriate comparison, integration and complementarity of various scientific fields closely related to each other and with interactive methods, in order to highlight and synthesize the processes of convergence and the cause and effect relationships of the methods and results of the research itself. For each site, the analysis subjects are developed step–by–step following a path that includes: the general geological classification, essentially on a bibliographical basis; the descriptive analysis of the types of key rocks found in the territory; the illustration of the overall scenic–cultural landscape; the reconstruction of the historical–architectural evolution of the site; the description of the lapideous materials used and their state of preservation; The Architectures analysed are said to be valorised and protected, as the first is an “Archaeological Site”, located in the Eastern Nebrodi Mountains, while the second is among “The most beautiful Villages of Italy”, in the western Peloritani MountainsPubblicazioni consigliate
