Misoginia Online. Un'analisi Netnografica sul Forum dei Brutti

The aim of this work is to analyze the discourses that develope within the groups of the Italian Manosphere, with specific reference to the Incel community. People who visit websites and forums related to the Manosphere are united by a shared hostility towards women and a strong use of hate speech. The Incel movement is composed of men who define themselves as involuntary celibates and blame their loneliness and the impossibility of establishing relationships on women. As part of a research project relating to the implementation of Sex Robots and their recent marketing, we investigated the opinions of users who are part of the Forum dei Brutti, a favorite meeting place for Italian Incel militants. The research examined the possible advantages/disadvantages of buying a Sexbot and was conducted using the Netnographic method, which involved a forum monitoring in January and February 2022.
