This article is devoted to the Life of Theodosius of Tărnovo, only available in a Slavonic translation and traditionally ascribed to Patriarch Callistos I. A textual comparison of the Life with other works ascribed to Callistos reveals the duplication of the same biblical and patristic citations, imageries, argumentations, etc., confirming the attribution of the Life to Callistos I. He composed the text between the spring of 1363 and 1364, mostly during his sejourn at Athos. Then the Holy Mountain was under Serbian rule, and the translator of the Life into Slavonic has to be identified with someone active within the monastic milieu of Athos and Serres.

Abstract
This article is devoted to the Life of Theodosius of Tărnovo, only available in a Slavonic translation and traditionally ascribed to Patriarch Callistos I. A textual comparison of the Life with other works ascribed to Callistos reveals the duplication of the same biblical and patristic citations, imageries, argumentations, etc., confirming the attribution of the Life to Callistos I. He composed the text between the spring of 1363 and 1364, mostly during his sejourn at Athos. Then the Holy Mountain was under Serbian rule, and the translator of the Life into Slavonic has to be identified with someone active within the monastic milieu of Athos and Serres.Pubblicazioni consigliate
