This chapter proposes a taxonomy of methods suitable for research in embodied cognition. First, the methods are classified as behavioural and psychophysiological, or as neuroscientific and neuropsychological. Behavioural and psychophysiological methods involve chronometric, continuous, and peripheral physiological techniques; contrastingly, neuroscientific and neuropsychological methods include correlational, causal techniques, and patient studies. In the second part of the chapter, the possibility to integrate different methods is explained to overcome technical limitations and to expand their methodological reach. Finally, an overview of additional methods and approaches, ranging from complementary psychological methods to human-computer interaction methods, will be given. This taxonomy of methods and approaches aims to guide the reader through the subsequent chapters, where each method or approach will be described in detail.

Abstract
This taxonomy of methods and approaches aims to guide the reader through the subsequent chapters, where each method or approach will be described in detail.Pubblicazioni consigliate
