Abstract

The paper deals with what happened in Italy during the two decades of fascism. It was a twenty-year period in which a series of prescriptive laws were adopted that were to profoundly impact the Italian political-institutional balance. De facto, they introduced a ‘new’ constitutional order, without however, repealing the Statute granted by Carlo Alberto of Savoy to Piedmont on 4th March 1848.
