While social media platforms continue to gain widespread popularity, growing evidence indicates significant correlations between their use and mental health and behavioral issues in adolescents. Heightened engagement with social media has been associated with reduced self-esteem and body satisfaction, elevated risk of cyberbullying, greater exposure to explicit content, and risky sexual behaviors. Combining some preventive measures, it is possible to create a safer online environment for adolescents and empower them to make informed and responsible decisions in their digital interactions.

Abstract
While social media platforms continue to gain widespread popularity, growing evidence indicates significant correlations between their use and mental health and behavioral issues in adolescents. Heightened engagement with social media has been associated with reduced self-esteem and body satisfaction, elevated risk of cyberbullying, greater exposure to explicit content, and risky sexual behaviors. Combining some preventive measures, it is possible to create a safer online environment for adolescents and empower them to make informed and responsible decisions in their digital interactions.File in questo prodotto:
