The historical moment we are living in constantly raises moral questions that threaten the civic sense of our democracies, which make social coexistence difficult, in a society that is increasingly pluralist and multicultural, as well as conflictual. What characterises our times is a profound and pervasive 'moral apathy': a sort of indifference, which is registered above all in adolescents and young people, not only towards others but also towards themselves, due to the inability to perceive themselves as 'moral subjects', hence 'subjects of value'. This condition gives rise to many issues that education has a responsibility to grasp as a call in order to design appropriate educational paths.

Abstract
The historical moment we are living in constantly raises moral questions that threaten the civic sense of our democracies, which make social coexistence difficult, in a society that is increasingly pluralist and multicultural, as well as conflictual. What characterises our times is a profound and pervasive 'moral apathy': a sort of indifference, which is registered above all in adolescents and young people, not only towards others but also towards themselves, due to the inability to perceive themselves as 'moral subjects', hence 'subjects of value'. This condition gives rise to many issues that education has a responsibility to grasp as a call in order to design appropriate educational paths.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
