In Poland, mediation got its start in 1995, when a project aimed at minors was carried out in cooperation with the Germans, who already had experience of mediation. Unfortunately, it is only now that more and more initiatives are beginning to be taken to promote mediation with the participation of young people. It takes on three dimensions: criminal, juvenile, school. Regardless of the type, mediation provides an excellent lesson in constructive communication with other people, empathy, the formation of an appropriate hierarchy of values (e.g. justice, responsibility) and the development of adequate moral feelings. The aim of the essay is therefore to illustrate the value of mediation with the participation of young people in the process of upbringing and social rehabilitation in the moral dimension.
