Stato di diritto e principio di ospitalità: minori stranieri non accompagnati e tutela della salute

This paper analyzes the legal and social implications of the “principle of hos- pitality” concerning unaccompanied foreign minors in Italy, focusing on their right to health protection. By examining the evolution of national and suprana- tional legislation, the paper highlights the importance of safeguarding the best in- terests of these vulnerable individuals and ensuring their inclusion in society. The analysis delves into the legal framework governing the reception and protection of unaccompanied foreign minors, emphasizing the need for a multidisciplinary ap- proach that addresses both their healthcare needs and their social integration. The paper also explores the concept of “relational complexity” in healthcare, underlin- ing the challenges faced by healthcare professionals in providing culturally sensi- tive and effective care to foreign minors.
