This contribution makes use of a multidisciplinary perspective which, through a historical-artistic, aesthetic and cognitive approach, explore the aesthetic experience and, in particular the bodily percep- tion during the use of a work of art. The observation of a work acti- vates the vision and also stimulates the emotional, tactile and motor part of the body thanks to relationships between the empathic and imitative emotions of the observer and the creative gesture of the art- ist, the content of the work, the sensations and the emotions depicted. The final phase of the aesthetic experience is the aesthetic judgement, given by the involvement resulting from the work. The most engag- ing works are those considered most creative, that is, designed and created, thanks to the personal creativity and freedom of the artist, to intensely excite those who observe them. Works belonging to different periods and artistic movements will be examined - for painting Artemisia Gentileschi and Caravaggio, for sculpture Ron Mueck and Patrizia Piccinini - so as to highlight the bodily involvement that arises thanks to an original and deliberately disturbing creative intuition.

Abstract
Works belonging to different periods and artistic movements will be examined - for painting Artemisia Gentileschi and Caravaggio, for sculpture Ron Mueck and Patrizia Piccinini - so as to highlight the bodily involvement that arises thanks to an original and deliberately disturbing creative intuition.Pubblicazioni consigliate
