Epithelioid trophoblastic tumor is an unfrequent gestational trophoblastic disease. After a preterm birth of a living infant, a 37-year-old woman underwent hysterectomy for a postpartum metratonia. The patient had an atecedent miscarriage. A cervical epithelioid trophoblastic tumour was found and immunology was performed using c-kit, p57 and ki67 antibodies. The endocervical lesion focally infiltrated the myometrium. Poorly limited nodules of epithelial cells were arranged in cords and nests. Atypical mononucleate and syncytiotrophoblastic cells occasionally occurred. C-kit positivity was diffuse. P57 nuclear staining was negative or weak, ki67 was totally unlabeled. Th c-kit over-expression substantiates trophoblastic survival and invasiveness.
