Neutron time-of-night spectra for two hydrated disaccharides at 300 K show significant differences with respect to (i) discrete features in the 10 to 70 meV region, and (ii) a broad low-frequency band centred on 5.5-6 meV. We analysed these in terms of generalised frequency distributions. The peak as well as integrated intensities of(ii) between 0.2 and 10 meV differ markedly in their dependence on momentum transfer.

Abstract
Neutron time-of-night spectra for two hydrated disaccharides at 300 K show significant differences with respect to (i) discrete features in the 10 to 70 meV region, and (ii) a broad low-frequency band centred on 5.5-6 meV. We analysed these in terms of generalised frequency distributions. The peak as well as integrated intensities of(ii) between 0.2 and 10 meV differ markedly in their dependence on momentum transfer.File in questo prodotto:
