Since 1999, wireless access to clinical images at Cure Ortopediche Traumatologiche has been done with laptops; recently a prototype has been developed, with the cooperation of DISI, on a Tablet PC. The prototype allows to test new features like electronic ink (for taking notes, adding drawings and comments to an EPR) and to verify the usability of these new tools in a realistic scenario. To overcome the potential intercepting of clinical data "on the air", all data may be encrypted by use of a public key hosted on a smart card, which is integrated in the device.

Abstract
Since 1999, wireless access to clinical images at Cure Ortopediche Traumatologiche has been done with laptops; recently a prototype has been developed, with the cooperation of DISI, on a Tablet PC. The prototype allows to test new features like electronic ink (for taking notes, adding drawings and comments to an EPR) and to verify the usability of these new tools in a realistic scenario. To overcome the potential intercepting of clinical data "on the air", all data may be encrypted by use of a public key hosted on a smart card, which is integrated in the device.File in questo prodotto:
