In recent years much theoretical debate has tackled several cultural and linguistic issues in the Anglophone Caribbean, focusing on how English has influenced the colonial and postcolonial world as well as the possible formation of neocolonial configurations. The book thus explores language contact in colonial and postcolonial environments in Anglophone Caribbean areas, taking into account also sociolinguistic and cultural issues. Some of the most significant linguistic traits of the Caribbean experience are dealt with in this study, such as the interplay of speech and writing. More broadly, the book investigates the phenomenon of creolization of the English language under world influences. Some Creole varieties in the Anglophone world are explored in the book, also analysing literary texts from a linguistic and stylistic standpoint.

Abstract
Some Creole varieties in the Anglophone world are explored in the book, also analysing literary texts from a linguistic and stylistic standpoint.Pubblicazioni consigliate
