The aim of this paper is to analyze some specific challenges to foster innovation and creativity. We propose a conceptual framework based on two complementary perspectives: forms of innovation (closed vs open) and cultural approaches to enhance creativity. In literature, open innovation emerges is a model blurring organizational boundaries through ICT tools; it involves external actors in the process of knowledge creation. At the same time, culture can be considered as a prerequisite that promote or inhibit creativity. Research propositions that provide opportunities for examining a specific interaction between creativity, innovation and ICT tool for sharing knowledge are presented.

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze some specific challenges to foster innovation and creativity. We propose a conceptual framework based on two complementary perspectives: forms of innovation (closed vs open) and cultural approaches to enhance creativity. In literature, open innovation emerges is a model blurring organizational boundaries through ICT tools; it involves external actors in the process of knowledge creation. At the same time, culture can be considered as a prerequisite that promote or inhibit creativity. Research propositions that provide opportunities for examining a specific interaction between creativity, innovation and ICT tool for sharing knowledge are presented.Pubblicazioni consigliate
