This is ultimately eroding the divide between the global and local, and public and private dimensions of communication. The seminar aims to explore such emerging practices as e-campaigning, e-marketing and e-advertising, with a specific focus on the analysis of multimodal meaning-making resources, intercultural participation models and strategies of identity construction and positioning. The seminar invites contributions from a wide range of perspectives including, but not being limited to, systemic-functional linguistics, critical discourse analysis and mediated discourse analysis.
