The mango (Mangifera indica L.) it is a native plant of India, with a very sweet and perfumed fruits. Therefore It’s cultivated at lenght in the tropical areas of the world, for the fruits production. In Sicily, the territory along coastal strip, is suitable to the cultivation and the production of this fruit; so it could become a valid alternative coltivation for the exploitation of the territory. The quality of the product results excellent and it has also gotten a great success on the North Europe markets. The qualitative and quantitative relationships among the different present substances in the fruits, and the organoleptic and nutritionals characteristic, vary according to the climatic and pedologic conditions in which the plant develops him and also to the cultivars considered. In this paper, for a best characterization of the cultivated mango in Sicily, have been studied the components of the vitamin E. In the pulp and in the peel of the fruit there are presents a, b, g, and d, tocopherols.
