The following presentation comments upon a recent decree by the Supreme Court relating to Travel Contracts, which has considered the Touristic purpose of the same i.e. “the aim to please”, a relevant and important reason, that is exemplified by the main interest that the trip is intended to satisfy, interest that represents also the concrete practical factor that has caused the person or people to travel in the first place, and therefore, stresses the crucial importance of all the activities and technical means aimed at satisfying the tourist and making the holiday a pleasant experience. The decree deals also with the nature-based environmental resources that cause the tourist to choose a definite holiday destination : if such resources or attractions are not available to be used by the holiday-maker, also in the event of an infringement by a third party, the trip’s organiser, must offer a range of suitable alternative options, or otherwise he must make good the damage.
