In the last year literature on the development of national and European identity has underlined how these constructs are affected by cultural contexts in which development take place. The present book was aimed to put in evidence two specific studies about the developmental trends of self-categorization, subjective importance and attitudes towards local, narional and European groups among Italian Children taking also into account intergroup attitudes among them. Further, it was introduced the results from a survey carried out among five European countries (Italy, BUlgaria, Portugal, Romania & Spain) within the project "Training Citizenship and Intercultural Education: methods and resources for adult learning (Tra.C.I.E)" in order to identify some guidelines for developing training curricula for Citizenship and Intercultura Education
