In this paper thermodiusion in a mixture of viscous uids is described by using a procedure of classical irreversible thermodynamic (CIT) with internal variables. In particular, the deviation from local equilibrium is characterized by some vectorial internal variables [12]-[9] and a generalized entropy current density in terms of current multipli- ers ([40],[54]). The coupling between mass diusion and heat conduc- tion is taken into account and phenomenological generalizations of Fick's, Fourier's and Newton's laws are also obtained.

Abstract
In this paper thermodiusion in a mixture of viscous uids is described by using a procedure of classical irreversible thermodynamic (CIT) with internal variables. In particular, the deviation from local equilibrium is characterized by some vectorial internal variables [12]-[9] and a generalized entropy current density in terms of current multipli- ers ([40],[54]). The coupling between mass diusion and heat conduc- tion is taken into account and phenomenological generalizations of Fick's, Fourier's and Newton's laws are also obtained.File in questo prodotto:
