The present invention relates to humanized anti-Trop-5 2 monoclonal antibodies and their fragments, derivatives and conjugates. In particular the present invention relates to monoclonal antibodies consisting of sequences of human and murine mixed origin, able to recognize and bind different regions of the Trop-2 molecule with high efficiency. Pharmaceutical compositions that contain such antibodies or their fragments, derivatives and 10 conjugates are also objects of the present invention. The use of such antibodies and their fragments, derivatives and conjugates for diagnosis and therapy of human diseases, including cancer, is another object of the present invention.
