The present paper analyses the status of remarried of divorcees in canon law, taking into consideration the recent Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, in the framework of the debate concerning the role and the reformability of religious laws. The crucial question is whether such Exhortation respects the moral tradition of the Catholic Church or is in contradiction with it. In this sense Amoris Laetitia becomes a test to verify the resilience of the canonical model of marriage and of its ability to reflect individual and community expectations.

Abstract
The present paper analyses the status of remarried of divorcees in canon law, taking into consideration the recent Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, in the framework of the debate concerning the role and the reformability of religious laws. The crucial question is whether such Exhortation respects the moral tradition of the Catholic Church or is in contradiction with it. In this sense Amoris Laetitia becomes a test to verify the resilience of the canonical model of marriage and of its ability to reflect individual and community expectations.File in questo prodotto:
