The debate on the relationship between environment and economic development highlighted the need to undertake without hesitation, a sustainable development model based on circular economy. For this reason, the European Commission introduced the European Green Deal, whose strategic objective is to decouple economic growth from resource use in order to transform the European Union into an equal and prosper society, with a modern and competitive economy, that targets to reach no net emission greenhouse gases emissions in 2050. To this end, among the other things, the Green Deal highlights how firms that use “green claims”, should value them with a standard methodology to evaluate the real environmental impact. All of this starting from the assumption that reliable, comparable and verifiable information are necessary to guide consumers in taking more sustainable decisions. This has extremely importance as, taking into consideration the influence that consumers could have on firms by choosing more environmentally sustainable goods, the latter, in turn, could be “obliged” to act with respectful behaviours relatively to this need, by making the necessary changes to improve the environmental performances in all the production cycle. From this point of view, ISO/TS 17033:2019 could represent an additional reference point to assure a substantial alignment between the intrinsic characteristics of process, products/services and organizations and the information contents to be presented to consumers and the other interested parties.

Abstract
From this point of view, ISO/TS 17033:2019 could represent an additional reference point to assure a substantial alignment between the intrinsic characteristics of process, products/services and organizations and the information contents to be presented to consumers and the other interested parties.Pubblicazioni consigliate
