Nel volume si ricostruisce la nascita dell'uso dei titoli nella letteratura greca antica. Nello specifico, si indagano la causa del fenomeno, le sue implicazioni in diversi effetti prodotti nella tradizionale manoscritta di molti classici greci. By examining the forms of literary communication in the Archaic and Classical periods, this volume reconstructs for the first time the emergence of titles in ancient Greek literature, systematically investigating the causes of the phenomenon, analyzing its consequences, as well as its effects, on the manuscript tradition of Classical Greek authors.
