With reference to the Building Dossier and in particular to the historical-critical analysis, it was decided to analyze the amount of documentation drawn up by the various conservation organizations for the development of digital tools that make it immediately available in its incomplete completeness. The observed limit of the physical dislocation of the sources can therefore be overcome through multimedia systematization solutions, reducing - in a future perspective - the usual and necessary "analogical" consultation operations, thus allowing to increase the user basin and to preserve the paper materials. It is proposed a project on GIS platform that, by associating data of various kinds to geo-referenced maps, is useful for the preparation of the "Case History" and at the same time for a knowledge broader than the existing for the purpose of projectual design as well as previous and future conservative strategies. The experimentation will be proposed for one case, in the context of an emblematic sample of palatial residential buildings in Messina, and will be articulated in scheding and georeferencing the documentation, conducted with open source programs such as QGIS, so to move a first step towards the digitalization of the Building Dossier. The development of these IT tools has positive and innovative results both for the preservation of documentary resources, which are fundamental for historical-critical analysis, and to facilitate institutions and professionals in supporting their skills, for the conservation and promotion of architectural heritage.

Abstract
The development of these IT tools has positive and innovative results both for the preservation of documentary resources, which are fundamental for historical-critical analysis, and to facilitate institutions and professionals in supporting their skills, for the conservation and promotion of architectural heritage.Pubblicazioni consigliate
