Una integrazione che sa di fusione: il tentativo di creare un’Azienda ospedaliera unica e i limiti posti dal commissariamento della sanità calabrese (nota a Corte cost. 50/2021)

With the sentence in question commented on, the Constitutional Court declared the constitutional illegitimacy of the Calabrian regional law which provided for a substantial fusion of the hospitals of the town of Catanzaro, despite the limits set by the health commissioner. This decision becomes an occasion for some brief considerations on the institution of the regional health commissioner and on its effectiveness after more than ten years of experience in Calabria.
