The Peace Attitudes Scale (PAS; Broccoli et al., 2021) was developed to measure individual peace attitudes and incorporates several domains that have been previously described in peace research. Drawing from Anderson (2014) and Galtung’s (1996) theories, the PAS is made up of 22 items (four of which were reversed: Items 3, 13, 18, and 21) divided into five subscales: Sociopolitical, Personal Well-Being, Ease With Diversity, Environmental Attitude, and Caring. Data were collected from a sample of adolescents and adults aged between 17-40 years from four regions in Italy. Exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency, test-retest reliability, convergent validity, and concurrent validity were reported. The authors have indicated that future research should address confirmatory factor analysis of the scale. (PsycTests Database Record (c) 2021 APA, all rights reserved)
