Abstract

The book gives an account of the evaluation process carried out within the project "Attiva-Mente", funded by the European E1 on the measure, board and card, 41E137, Objective 3 of the ROP to the invitation of local institutions to develop local projects support to women. It was promoted by the local administration with the aim of developing a service model of school able to fulfill the needs of families and women of Saint-Vincent, and bear them in their daily workload, pursuing the ambitious aspiration of become a "pattern and example" for similar territories. The project saw the Lilith cooperative committed to providing a response to specific demands from the local level, which was achieved with the proposal of a conciliation service between periods of work and care for women with family burden and timing of population education youth declined in terms of the objectives of growth, development and learning to be pursued through specific initiatives for the promotion of educational continuity, making it the meeting point of interests and expectations of both family and social. For a careful reading of the project reflected a clear idea of Lilith Cooperative to create a service that can be: a reference to "stable" for families and an educational space "permanent" for children. Its main purpose was, therefore, to provide information necessary to identify, define, create, understand and improve some activities that could satisfy the first of all women, but they were also a valuable educational tool for children, direct users of the service. The activities have been chosen with the intent to create a virtuous correspondence between school and home, so that the service will not remain far from reality, but even these two could enhance communication. The service had a total duration of eight months and its modeling has provided a precise mirror scanning in two tranches, each of about four months. The whole course was accompanied by an evaluation process conducted by an Evaluation Team, as envisaged by the project, which, due to the uniqueness of methodological choices in place, has made it possible to trace precisely the performance of the service, its progress and its provided it results a clear and precise. The analysis of different size and different levels of service focused on its educational and strategic and organizational characteristics, as well as communication and has been done through the establishment and administration of multiple research tools, able to grasp the special plant and the dynamic characteristics. Such administration was preceded by a preliminary identification of the detection conditions that clothe the character of recognition of "starting points". In the evaluation process has been used an approach "multifocal" in order to gather information at multiple levels of activity, their internal cohesion and external links, and "Multicenter" on several subjects, that is for both the direct beneficiaries (children) both indirect (families, and especially women), as well as to all those who have taken part, directly or indirectly, to the service. The book documents the process implemented by the Evaluation Unit within the project "Attiva-Mente” and gives a clear summary of all the work done by the Cooperative Lilith.
